Adoration of the Magi; angel holding a scroll; two angels holding navettes and swinging censers.
Wing, right
Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; angel with hands clasped; sun and moon; cruciform halo.
Pinnacles; roped border.

Attribution
Unknown

Hinges
Two hinges.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy: red and brown.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Edges are cut to accommodate the later frame. Vertical crack on the left wing with a repair.
Missing: hands of the left hand-side angel in the Crucifixion scene; spear or jet of blood which originally went from Christ's side (hole) to the Virgin's chest.

Provenance
Acquired by the Stieglitz Museum of Applied Arts in 1879 from Beissel (?), Aachen; transferred to the Hermitage in 1926.
