Münster 2005: Germany (Cologne?), c. 1340.

Atelier of the Kremsmünster Diptych (Gaborit- Chopin 1978)

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive traces of polychromy and gilding: gold (hair, veil, along the hems; robe, belt, cloak), red (robe, cloak), blue (robe).

Reverse
Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Missing: part of the object held by the Virgin (possibly a stem of flowers); crown.

Provenance
From the treasury of the church of Sankt. Johannes (Saint John the Baptist) in the Augustinian Convent of Langenhorst.
