Saint Veronica holding a cloth with the Holy Face of Christ (Sancta Facies) (Veronica's veil); saint Apollonia holding a pair of pincers and a book; tooth; brooch.

Longhurst 1929: France, 2nd half of the 14th century.
Williamson and Davies 2014: Lower Rhenish (?) or French (Paris), late 14th century.

Flat with scoring.
Label with inscription: 'Gothic, 14th cent. / St Veronica & / St Barbara."

Object Condition
Missing: lower corner of the base and saint Apollonia's drapery.
Thin section has been trimmed off the right side.

Provenance
Alfred Trapnell collection: sale, Christie's, London, 18 March 1914, lot 240. Henry. L. Florence collection, Bath: his bequest to the museum in 1916.
