Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Very worn. Damage caused by extended burial.

Comments
The pupils might have been coloured or inlaid with another material.

Provenance
Found in 1972 during archaeological excavations led by the Archaeology Department of Aarhus University at the convent of Ring (Ringkloster); the piece was found in sealed layers, beneath a layer formed by a fire in 1430.
