Ivory;metal (remains of hinges)

Height: 147 mm
Width: 98 mm
Depth: 8 mm

Register 1: Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist. Deposition with the Virgin holding Christ's hand; Joseph of Arimathea holding Christ's body.
Register 2: Death of Judas (Judas hanging). Christ before Pilate; Pilate washing his hands; tree; ewer.

Koechlin 1924: France, beginning of the 2nd third of the 14th century.
Museum's opinion 2014: France (Paris), 2nd quarter of the 14th century.


Traces of two missing hinges on the left side (the upper one coincides with the point of breakage).

Object Condition
Missing: upper part of the panel.

Collection Albert Maignan (b. 1845, d. 1908); bequeathed by Maignan to the museum in 1908, but entered the collections in 1927.
