Courting couples (meeting of lovers); lady crowning her kneeling lover with a chaplet. Lady holding a dog; two crouching figures supporting the lock on their backs; youth holding a chaplet; youth with a hawk on his wrist. Seated couple; youth chucking his lover under the chin; youth with a hawk on his wrist.

Museum's opinion 2013: France (Paris ?), 1st half of the 14th century.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Recessed along three sides to be fitted with the rest of the casket.

Object Condition
Missing: lower border; lock.
Some strips of ivory have been added to the sides. Holes for lost fittings.

Provenance
Collection of Oscar Bondy, Vienna. Acquired by Werner Abegg through Wilderstein & Co. gallery, New York in 1961; donated by Werner Abegg in 1963.
