Height: 94mm
Width: 95mm
Depth: 5-9mm

Annunciation with seated Virgin; kneeling angel holding a scroll with inscription 'AVE GRATIA PLENA'; vase of lilies; dove of the Holy Spirit; God the Father with orb and cross; throne with a canopy, pinnacles and hanging curtain; ewer; book; basket with wool.
Diapered background with quatrefoils enclosed in lozenge shapes; pinnacles.

Unknown

Reverse
Curved and smooth. Ivory handle decorated with a pierced quatrefoil. Ink inscription: '832'.

Object Condition
Two holes in the upper part of the pax.

Provenance
Probably property of Abbé Rocher, Orléans, in 1876 (see Orléans 1876). Acquired by the museum before June 1940.
