Side 1: Thisbe discovers the dying Pyramus; fountain; Thisbe kills herself with his sword; lion; trees.
Side 2: seated Venus holding an arrow; blinfolded Cupid with bow and arrow, aiming at a winged heart; seated putto; trees.
Foliated decoration. Crosshatched background.

Museum's opinion 2011: France, beginning of the 16th century.

Carved on both sides.

Object Condition
Some missing teeth, some broken.

Provenance
Collection Roux of Tours (1868, no. 158). Carrand collection: bequeathed by Louis Carrand (d. 1888) to the Museo del Bargello in 1888.
