Register 2: Death of the Virgin (Dormition); Christ holding the soul of the Virgin.
Register 3: seated Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); angels holding candlesticks.

Traces of three hinges on the left side.

Reverse
Smooth and flat.

Object Condition
Missing: upper left corner. Broken around the hinges.
Central hole in the upper part of the panel.

Comments
The left wing is now Cl. 21115. These two panels could correspond to two ivories used as part of a binding in the Saint-Denis Treasury and described in the 1534 inventory (but missing in the 1634 inventory), where they were described as 'table d'yvoire à trois estages, taillée à plusieurs personnages' (Paris 1991, p. 242).
