Register 2: Last Supper with saint John the Evangelist leaning on Christ's breast.
Wing, right
Register 1: Christ washing the feet of the apostles.
Register 2: Agony in the Garden (Christ at Gethsemane).

Two hinges.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of gilding and polychromy: gold (hair and beards; architectural details; along the hems; harness), green (trees), black (eyes), red (cheeks).

The outside of the wings is painted: Standing Virgin and Child; Crucifixion. Inscription, 16th century: 'Anno 1568 auff Martini als Konnig Friderich von Dennemark den Konnig Erich von Schweden bekriegte v. sein Kriegesvolck die Stadt v. Schlos Watzstein erobert v. gewonnen darinnen ein Jumbfrauwen Closter gelegen daselbst ein Schwedisch frewlein Domina gewesen In derselben Gemach Ist diesse Tafflen Buthe bekommen worden'(see Provenance field).

Bridgettine convent in Vadstena (Sweden), 16th century: inscription recording that this piece once belonged to the Bridgettine convent in Vadstena, which was taken and plundered in 1568 by Danish troops. The convent was actually plundered in 1567, which could indicate that this inscription could have been added several years after the event. Collection of Bertel Thorvaldsen (b. 1770, d. 1844).
