Saint John the Baptist holding the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei); standing Virgin and child; saint Catherine of Alexandria with broken wheel and martyr's palm; crown.
Tracery; rounded trefoils.

Gibert 1862: Italian, 15th century.
Museum's opinion 2011: Northern Netherlands (Utrecht?), mid 15th century.

Traces of gilding: hair; beards; architectural details; crowns; patterns along the hems; grass.

Reverse
Wooden panel hiding the back.

Object Condition
Missing: right side of the arch.

Comments
The ivory has been fitted into a frame decorated with intarsia.

Provenance
Collection of Jean-Baptiste Bourguignon de Fabregoules (b. 1746, d. 1836): donated with the rest of his collection by his son in 1860, to become one of the founding collections of the Musée Granet.
