Object Condition
Ivory badly cracked.
Head and fingers broken and reattached; lower part of the legs broken and lost. Arms reattached (possibly not original or recarved); restorations on the torso, arms, left eye, edge of Christ's hair to the right.
Comments
Migeon 1904 claimed this piece was previously attached to the binding of a Bible made in 1340 (see Gaborit-Chopin 2003 for discussion).
