Register 1: Seated Virgin and Child (Vierge glorieuse); two angels holding candlesticks; female kneeling figure in donor position, holding a book.
Register 2: Adoration of the Magi; female kneeling figure in donor position, holding her own soul.

Museum's opinion 2009: French, late 14th century.

Traces of two missing hinges on the right side (repaired).

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of polychromy.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Circles traced with a compass. Blue and white label with inscription: 'Collection Wernher no. 91'.

Provenance
Collection of Sir Julius Wernher (d. 1912), Bath House, London; on loan to English Heritage and displayed at Ranger's House since 2002.
