Register 1: Last Judgement with Resurrection of the Dead (Christ in Glory); Virgin Mary and saint John the Baptist kneeling; souls rising from their tombs.
Register 2: apostles.
Register 3: adoring Magi (part of the Adoration of the Magi continuing on the right wing); attendant with horses.
Border of dentils.

Traces of three hinges on the right side.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of gilding and polychromy.

Reverse
Smooth and flat. Traces of newspaper glued to the back.

Object Condition
Upper border partly broken.

Comments
The right wing is Cl. 2185. These two panels could correspond to two ivories used as part of a binding in the Saint-Denis Treasury and described in the 1534 inventory (but missing in the 1634 inventory) where they were described as 'table d'yvoire à trois estages, taillée à plusieurs personnages' (Paris 1991, p. 242).

Provenance
Treasury of Saint Denis; probably kept by the Commission des Arts in April 1793, and deposited at the Cabinet des Antiques, later to become the Cabinet des Médailles, Bibliothèque nationale de France; deposited at the Musée de Cluny in 1926.
