Depth: 6mm

Register 1: Winged God of Love in a tree throwing arrows at lovers; courting couples; youth chucking his lover under the chin; couple embracing.
Register 2: courting couples (meeting of lovers); lady chucking her lover under the chin; youth with a hawk on his wrist; lady holding a chaplet; trees.
Animal heads (including dog) and hybrids in the spandrels.
Corner terminals: four crouching hybrids.

Koechlin 1924: modern.
Camps Cazorla 1949-1950: French, 14th century.
Estella 2001: 19th century.

This piece is a copy of a mirror case now in the Musée Cluny in Paris (Cl. 401)(see Koechlin 1924 and Estella 2001).
