Unidentified story.Courting couples (meeting of lovers); couple playing chess, observed by a lady; lady threatening a bearded man or hermit with a broom; old man climbing up to a house, still threatened by the lady; trees; steep landscape.
Masks in the spandrels.

Ann Arbor 1975: French, late 14th century.
Randall 1985 and Museum's opinion 2010: North French (?), 3rd quarter of the 14th century. Attributed to the Atelier of the Boxes.

Leveled, probably to reuse the plaque on a book cover.

Object Condition
Chips on the edges and candle burns.
