Extensive gilding and polychromy: gold (along the hems; fleur-de-lys motif on clothes), red (angel's cloak), blue (lining of the Virgin's cloak; belt).
Reverse
Carved in the round.
Object Condition
Missing: part of the left hand-side angel's bust and right arm and his left hand; right hand of Christ; both hands of the right hand-side angel.
Provenance
Hearst collection (according to Estella 2001). In the Museo Lázaro Galdiano by 1951.
