Saint Catherine of Alexandria praying God the Father; broken wheel; stem of lilies; two men.
Crosshatched background; candelabra; winged heart.
At the bottom: engraved inscription 'STA: KATHERINA'.

Sauzay 1863: 16th century.
Molinier 1896: French, 16th century (doubtful).
Malgouyres 2010: French (?), beginning of the 16th century.

Flat and smooth.

Object Condition
Missing: lower left corner (restored). Holes for suspension.

Provenance
Acquired by Charles Sauvageot in 1830 ('1005. supplice de Ste Catherine en ivoire sculpté 18 [fr.]'); Donation to the Museum by Sauvageot in 1856.
