Register 1: Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and soldiers.
Register 2: Nativity (Virgo Lactans) and Annunciation to the Shepherds.
Wing, right
Register 1: Entombment (Anointing of Christ's body).
Register 2: Presentation in the Temple with Joseph; maid holding a candlestick and a basket of doves brought as offerings.
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels.

Museum's opinion 2010: France (?), 19th century.

Two hinges.

Reverse
Smooth and flat.

Object Condition
Three holes in each panel, probably corresponding to lost clasps.

Provenance
Bequest of François-Achille Wasset in 1906 (no. 9691).
