Wing, left
Register 1: Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; sun and moon. 
Register 2: Nativity (Virgo lactans) and Annunciation to the shepherds; musician shepherd playing the bagpipes.
Wing, right
Register 1: Coronation of the Virgin; two kneeling angels holding candlesticks; angel crowning the Virgin; two angels holding navettes and swinging censers.
Register 2: Adoration of the Magi.
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels. Beaded borders.

Museum's opinion 2012: French, 14th century.

Two hinges.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Chamfered inner edges.
Label with pencil inscription: 'C 345'.

Object Condition
Right wing broken around the lower hinge.

Provenance
Collection of Michael Friedsam (b. 1858, d. 1931): bequest of Michael Friedsam in 1931.
