Centre panel
Two angels supporting a gabled niche with the standing Virgin and Child; fleur-de-lys pattern in the background.
Carved inscription: 'nostre dame de bonne nouvelles [sic]'.
Wings
Fleur-de-lys pattern.
Foliated border; flowers; roses.

Museum's opinion 2011: 18th or 19th century.

Reverse
Blue and white label.

Object Condition
The Virgin and Child is carved on a separate piece of ivory which is glued onto the rest.

Provenance
Collection of Jacques-Amédée Lambert: his bequest to the Museum in 1850.
