Hinges
Traces of two hinges on the left side (repaired).

Reverse
Smooth and flat. Traces of a raised border along the edges and a thick vertical strip down the centre, which also appears on the back on the other leaf, probably indicating that the diptych once was set in an open-backed frame.

Object Condition
Parts of the upper and lower border missing (repaired). Hole in the centre at the top of register 2 (with ivory plug).

Comments
The left wing is Victoria and Albert Museum, 665-1863 (see related object).

Collection of Alexandre Du Sommerard: acquired for the museum in 1843.
