Very slight traces of polychromy.

Carved in the round.
Object Condition
Ivory cracked.
Missing: left hand of child and part of the Virgin's crown; part of the object the Virgin was holding (only a small ivory cylinder remains where a metal flower may have been inserted), hole for modern metal crown (lost).
Christ's head broken, then reattached. Crack at the base.Group restored in 1958.
Comments
According to Gaborit-Chopin 2003, this object is from the same workshop as MRR 303, also in the Louvre.
