Reverse
Recessed to receive the wax, with a raised border. Modern ink inscription: 'W.M' (for William Maskell). Label: '19'.

Object Condition
Central hole in the upper part of the panel.

Provenance
Acquired in France. Collection of William Maskell (b. 1814, d. 1890): bought from him by the Museum in 1856.
