Courting couple (meeting of lovers); offering of the heart; youth kneeling before a lady; trees.
Corner terminals: four crouching monsters.

Back turned with a depression for (missing) mirror.

Object Condition
Two central holes in the upper part of the piece. Holes in the upper right and lower left corner terminals.
Deep vertical cracks.

Provenance
Acquired in Burgsteinfurt; collection of Colonel von Franckenberg; acquired by the Westfälischer Kunstverein in 1879; on extended loan from the Westfälischer Kunstverein.
