Medallions containing quatrefoils in the spandrels with unidentified coats of arms (semis of fleur-de-lys; lion rampant). Pointed trefoil in the gable.

Traces of two missing hinges on the right side.
Reverse
Flat and smooth. Longer edges slightly chamfered.
Object Condition
Vertical hairline cracks. Broken around the hinges (repaired with ivory inserts). Repairs to the basis of the gable on either side.

This piece was originally paired with SK-0254-2 also in the Stadtmuseum Münster.
Set within a modern black moulded wood-frame (not photographed). The frame dates from c. 1700, with the old inventory number on the back, 'Slg.-NR.427'.
