Object Condition
Missing: upper part of the Virgin's head; some parts of the Virgin's robe around base.

Provenance
Convent of the Chaise-Dieu (Haute-Loire). Mrs Camille Lelong (Laurentine Françoise Bernage), Paris (before 1902); Henri S. De Souhami, Paris: sale, New York, The American Art Association, 1922, lot 17; P. le Filippo (in 1922); C. Filippo, New York (until 1936?). Bought thanks to the Rogers Fund in 1936.
