Koechlin 1924: France, late 14th or early 15th century.
Gaborit-Chopin 2003 and Museum's opinion 2010: Rhineland, c. 1400 or first decades of the 15th century.

Carved in the round.

Object Condition
Missing: martyr's palm formerly held by the saint. Crown partly broken. Traces of gluing and hole under the base. Generally in good condition.

Jules Maciet collection; donated in 1894 to the Musée du Louvre.
