Reverse
Uncarved. Smooth edges with a rough centre and some holes.

Object Condition
Fragment, only the forepart of a dragon.
The colour of the ivory is deep brown, possibly due to having been buried in the earth for a period of time.

Provenance
Found in London. Collection of Charles Roach Smith (b. 1807, d. 1890)(no. 1503); purchased from him by the British Museum in 1856.
