Register 1: Coronation of the Virgin; two kneeling angels holding navettes and swinging censers; two angels praying; Christ holding a book in his left hand.
Register 2: Crucifixion; swooning Virgin supported by Holy Women; spear or jet of blood striking the Virgin's chest; saint John the Evangelist and onlookers holding scrolls; scroll with incised inscription 'vere filius dei'; angels praying and crying.

Right hand of Christ chipped.

Purchased in the district of Minden; collection of Colonel von Franckenberg; acquired by the Westfälischer Kunstverein in 1879; on extended loan from the Westfälischer Kunstverein since 1908.
