Register 1: Annunciation; dove of the Holy Spirit. Midwives and Virgin bathing Christ.
Register 2: Adoration of the Magi. Flight into Egypt; palm trees.
Wing, right
Register 1: Crucifixion with the Virgin and Saint John the Evangelist. Pietà (Deposition), with two Holy Women.
Register 2: Two soldiers guarding the tomb; one soldier asleep. Resurrection; two figures kneeling in prayer; angels.
Pointed trefoils in the spandrels.

Museum's opinion 2012: Italy, late 19th or early 20th century in a 15th century style.

Two broken hinges.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Printed label: cutting from the Keele Hall sale catalogue: 'From Keele Hall, Staffordshire'.

Object Condition
Cracks around the lower hinge.
