Crucifixion with the Virgin and saint John the Evangelist.
Wing, right
Saint Catherine of Alexandria with wheel and martyr's palm; saint John the Baptist holding the Lamb of God (Agnus Dei); camel hide; saint Agnes with a lamb, book and martyr's palm.
Incised trefoils in the spandrels.

Museum's opinion 2013: French, mid 14th century.

Hinges
Traces of two missing hinges. Traces of later hinges on the right wing.

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive gilding: hair, books, cross, lamb, wheel, palm, architectural details, crown.

Reverse
Flat and smooth.
Blue and white labels with inscriptions: '1900.ii0a' and '1900.ii0b'.

Object Condition
Hole in each corner of the left wing; hole in outer corners of the right wing.
Traces of different sets of hinges.

Provenance
Private collection, Cologne: given to the museum in 1900.
