Reverse
Smooth and flat. Chamfered outer edges.
Modern ink inscription 'W.M.' (for William Maskell).
Object Condition
Missing: part of the crown.
Holes in the upper corners (filled). One of the hinges cavities has also been filled.
Provenance
Collection of William Maskell (b. 1814, d. 1890): bought from him by the British Museum in 1856.
