Hinges
Two modern hinges.

Polychromy - Gilding
Traces of gilding in the canopy, crowns, hair of Christ and objects in the figure's hands. Black and red polychromy on features of figures.

Reverse
Smooth. Chamfered along the longer sides. Inscriptions recording the BM number and Dalton number; inscription at the back of the left wing: '69', 'W.M.' (probably for William Maskell), and '5'.

Provenance
Collection of William Maskell (b. 1814, d. 1890); bought from him by the Museum in 1856.
