Three figures in a turreted building; young lady holding a bird (Youth); naked old woman with slippers holding a flower (Old Age); lion lying at her feet; skeleton (Death) holding a shovel and an arrow; vermin; worms. Inscription: 'COGITA MORI'.
Palmettes.

Vöge 1900: Netherlandish, c. 1500.
Dokumentation 2006: Netherlands, c. 1500. 19th century according to C. Theuerkauff.

Three holes in the base and on the edge.

Comments
This piece may have provided the base for a reliquary or a crucifix (Vöge 1900).

Provenance
Acquired in 1853 by the Kunstkammer; undocumented after 7 April 1945 (but maybe already missing by 1902).
