Depth: 30mm

Register 1: Trinity; God the Father holding Christ on the cross; dove of the Holy Spirit issuing from the mouth of God the Father; Gnadenstuhl (Throne of Mercy); angels praying.
Register 2: Death of the Virgin (Dormition); Christ holding the soul of the Virgin; apostles; apostle kissing the Virgin's hand; angel closing the Virgin's lips; saint Peter holding a situla (holy water bucket) and an aspergillum; apostle holding a monstrance.

Museum's opinion 2012: France (Paris), c. 1410-1420.

Polychromy - Gilding
Extensive traces of polychromy: red, green, blue.

Reverse
Slightly curved and scratched. Round label with printed inscription: 'DOUANE NATIONALE EXPORTATION PARIS'. Label with inscription: '14'. Pencil inscription: '19'.

Object Condition
Some polychromy worn.

Comments
The original use of this panel is unknown, it may have been worn, held relics or been attached to a larger reliquary or monstrance (MET online catalogue 2012).
