Traces of two missing hinges on the left side.

Reverse
Flat and smooth. Affixed paper labels; 'On loan from Dr Charlton, April 28th 1862', 'Dr Charlton', 'Royal Archaeological Institute, 30' and '466'.

Object Condition
Drilled hole above left arm of cross.

Provenance
Collection of Dr Charlton (in April 1862, when it was on loan from him, possibly to the Royal Archaeological Institute (tbc)). Collection of Sir Augustus Wollaston Franks (b. 1826, d. 1897): donated by him to the Museum in 1894.
