Side 1: King David playing the harp; fountain; three naked female dancers.
Side 2: King David sees Bathsheba and Uriah the Hittite lying naked together on the ground; two naked female dancers; tree.
Crosshatched background; foliated decoration with flowers; roped border.

Museum's opinion 2011: France, 15th century.

Provenance
Collection of Lord Astor (b. 20 May 1886, d. 19 July 1971), Hever Castle, Kent: sale, Sotheby's, London, 28 May 1963, lot 49; collection of John Hunt (b. 1900, d. 1976) and Gertrude Hunt (b. 1903, d. 1975), Limerick; now part of the Hunt Museum which opened in 1997.
